Dr. Bruno Medeiros is assistant professor of medicine, division of hematology, at Stanford University, the Director of the Stanford Acute Leukemia Clinical Research Program, and Director of the Stanford Hospital Hematology inpatient service.

Dr. Medeiros’s research interest focuses on the development of novel and targeted therapeutic options for patients with AML, with special interest in management of AML in older adults. He is an active member of the SWOG acute leukemia committee, past member and track leader of the ASCO Leukemia, Myelodysplasia and transplantation scientific review committee and member of the Conquer Cancer Foundation Grants Selection Committee. The author of more than 85 scholarly articles and book chapters, Dr. Medeiros serves or has served as ad hoc reviewer for several national and international specialized journals, such as Blood, Leukemia, Haematologica and Cancer, among others.

In the past two years, Dr. Medeiros has served as a consultant/advisor to Mellennium, Agios, Roche/Genentech, Algeta, and Amgen; received honoraria from Millennium and Celgene and has received research funding from Novartis, Millennium, Celgene, Celator, Merck, and Agios.
