Dr. Alan S. Gamis is a Professor of Pediatrics at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, and Section Chief of Oncology at Children’s Mercy Hospital - Kansas City.
Dr. Gamis earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1984 and his Masters in public health in 1991 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. After completing a Residency program in pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Dr. Gamis received a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Minnesota. Certified in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Dr. Gamis’ special interests are in acute myeloid leukemia, neuroblastoma, supportive care, transplantation and late effects.
