Dr. Murali M. Chintagumpala is a Professor of Pediatrics and Co-Director of the Neuro-Oncology Program at the Texas Children’s Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Chintagumpala earned his medical degree at Madras Medical College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.  After completing his residency program in pediatrics in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Chintagumpala completed a fellowship in pediatric-hematology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and joined the faculty.

He is well known for his clinical expertise in pediatric brain tumors and solid tumors and has conducted several multi-institutional clinical trials for children with these tumors.  Within the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), he is the chairman of the Retinoblastoma Sub-Committee and a member of the Brain Tumor and Renal Tumor committees.
