2007 Prostate Cancer Symposium—News for Patients
On February 22 - 24, 2007, the American Society of Clinical Oncology sponsored a symposium on prostate cancer in Orlando, Florida. The symposium was intended for individuals with clinical or research interests in the biology, prevention, epidemiology, diagnosis, and multidisciplinary treatment of prostate cancer. The three-day meeting offered educational sessions and abstract oral and poster presentations focused on prostate cancer.

2005 Multidisciplinary Prostate Cancer Symposium—News for Patients
A multidisciplinary symposium on prostate cancer was held in Orlando, Florida, on February 17 - 19, 2005, and was cosponsored by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF), the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), and the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO). The educational meeting featured more than 300 abstracts, and brought together leading experts on prostate cancer to present and discuss new research on prevention, early detection, and treatment. Because effective treatment of prostate cancer requires a broad range of expertise, the symposium involved specialists from the oncology, radiology, and surgery communities.
