Survivorship, Sport, and Song: ASCO Joins “Kaleidoscope” Event to Raise Cancer Awareness

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is pleased to announce its involvement with Kaleidoscope, a holiday entertainment variety special featuring Olympic skating champions and GRAMMY Award-winning music artists. Viewers were thrilled with the historic return of the legendary Scott Hamilton and Dorothy Hamill matched with fellow cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John. Kaleidoscope aired on FOX this past Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2009).

Kaleidoscope addresses issues surrounding women and cancer through an extraordinary collaboration with 10 advocacy partners, including ASCO. ASCO’s patient information website, Cancer.Net (www.cancer.net), is the official clinical cancer information resource for Kaleidoscope. More than 15,000 cancer survivors attended the taping of Kaleidoscope in our nation’s capital.
