Strategies for a Better Night's Sleep

In this podcast, Dr. Gary Lyman discusses nausea and vomiting. Some cancer treatments, including radiation therapy and chemotherapy, may cause these types of side effects. The best way to treat vomiting is to prevent it with medications called antiemetics. To help doctors give their patients the best possible care, ASCO has developed evidence-based recommendations for the use of drugs that prevent vomiting. In this podcast, ASCO’s president, Dr. George Sledge, discusses advanced cancer care planning. Advanced cancer care is cancer that cannot be cured. It’s also called end-stage cancer or terminal cancer. However, incurable does not mean untreatable, and people with advanced cancer still have treatment options.
