Inspirational Fundraising

After learning about their longtime elementary school principal's kidney cancer diagnosis, members of the Malibu, California school district banded together in support. Led by Principal Phil Cott’s two children, students from the local elementary and high schools sold bracelets representing kidney cancer awareness to fundraise for The ASCO Cancer Foundation. To date, the volunteers have raised several thousands of dollars and increased community-wide awareness about cancer. This community’s efforts demonstrate how any of us can make a world of difference in cancer care.
