Using the 2-D Barcode
ASCO Answers fact sheets may include a 2D barcode, which is also called a matrix code, and QR code. This is to connect readers to further information about the fact sheet’s topic using the ScanLife application (“app”) using a smartphone. Just open the app and line up the 2D barcode in the middle of your screen; this will pull up more detailed information on the topic you’re reading about.
Getting the App
There are three easy ways to download the ScanLife application:
- Simply text the word “scan” to 43588.
- Go to www.getscanlife.com on your phone’s web browser. The application will attempt to determine which model phone you have. If it’s successful, simply select “Download.”
- Visit your smartphone’s App store, such as the iTunes Store or the Android Market.
