Using the 2-D Barcode

ASCO Answers fact sheets may include a 2D barcode, which is also called a matrix code, and QR code. This is to connect readers to further information about the fact sheet’s topic using the ScanLife application (“app”) using a smartphone. Just open the app and line up the 2D barcode in the middle of your screen; this will pull up more detailed information on the topic you’re reading about.

Getting the App

There are three easy ways to download the ScanLife application:

  1. Simply text the word “scan” to 43588.

  2. Go to www.getscanlife.com on your phone’s web browser. The application will attempt to determine which model phone you have. If it’s successful, simply select “Download.”

  3. Visit your smartphone’s App store, such as the iTunes Store or the Android Market.
