Report Highlights Year's Top Cancer Research Findings

To learn more about the top scientific discoveries about cancer in 2008, be sure to read Clinical Cancer Advances 2008: Major Research Advances in Cancer Treatment, Prevention, and Screening. Published by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), this report is an annual review of research that will have the greatest impact on patient care.

In this year's report, ASCO outlines 31 of the most significant advances on the front lines of cancer research over the past year, including 12 major clinical advances in six key areas: hard-to-treat cancers; new drug approvals; reducing cancer recurrence; personalized medicine; identifying risk factors, and access to care.
