There are many things about cancer you might hear from friends or read on the Internet that can confuse or scare you. Is cancer really contagious? Can you get it from using hair dyes or antiperspirants? Will positive thinking or cutting out sugar from your diet stop cancer from growing and spreading? Are drug companies, the government, or the medical establishment hiding a cure?
Tomorrow, February 4, is World Cancer Day , which is organized every year by the Union for International Cancer Control to improve people’s knowledge about cancer and debunk common misconceptions about the disease.
