Events and Educational Opportunities

There are many events held as part of and in conjunction with the ASCO Annual Meeting each year. Below are some specific opportunities for patients held in conjunction with the 2014 ASCO Annual Meeting. Information about next year’s meeting program or other happenings for patients/advocates at the 2015 ASCO Annual Meeting will be posted as they become available here on Cancer.Net, with other meeting information/events information available on the meeting’s website at http://am.asco.org.

2014 Patient Advocate Webcast
Each year, patients, survivors, caregivers, and patient advocates are invited to participate in a free educational webcast upon the release of many of the meeting's scientific abstracts. During the 2014 special preview of the ASCO Annual Meeting, individuals heard directly from ASCO leaders about major research news that was presented at the meeting on the latest advances in cancer care, treatment, and survivorship. The 2014 webcast was held at 5pm Eastern Time on May 14, and a recording with slides of that presentation can be found here. Questions? Contact patientadvocates@asco.org.
