It’s that time of year—buying pencils and notebooks, finding the right outfit to wear on the first day, cringing at the thought of nightly homework assignments. Most kids greet this time of year with a mixture of excitement and dread, but what about those kids who have spent months in the hospital having cancer treatment? For them, “back to school” has an entirely different meaning and comes with its own set of worries and fears.

This podcast gives some tips for both parents and kids on how to handle the demands of school and cancer treatment.
