Rare Disease Day: Get to Know About Sarcoma

February 29 is Rare Disease Day, which raises awareness about conditions that affect fewer than 200,000 Americans at any given time.

Many cancers can be categorized as rare diseases. For instance, sarcoma accounts for only 1% of all cancers and is considered a rare type of cancer. In this video, Cancer.Net Associate Editor Robert G. Maki, MD, PhD, FACP, covers the basics of sarcoma. He also discusses important things you should know about current and new treatment approaches, including how to find a sarcoma expert.
