This section contains details on valuable educational meetings offered or co-sponsored by ASCO. These events provide educational opportunities for patient advocates, including:
Special Registration Rate for Patient Advocates. Discounted registration is available for patient advocates attending ASCO Symposia. Each individual must be approved by ASCO staff in order to register at this reduced rate (Patient Advocate members of ASCO may register on the Symposium website and do not need a code). Those who are approved will receive a registration code and instructions. This reduced registration category is reserved exclusively for patient advocates and is not intended for medical professionals.
Scholarships. Scholarships for patient advocates to attend ASCO Symposia are oftentimes available through Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation. When funds are available, they help reimburse expenses related to travel, hotel, and registration. To learn more, visit The Conquer Cancer Foundation Patient Advocate Scholarship Program.
Networking. We understand that networking is an important part of your participation in ASCO Symposia. For select meetings, registered patient advocates are able to participate in a networking opportunity to connect with fellow patient advocates registered for the meeting.
Discounted Exhibit Space. Exhibit space is available to patient advocacy organizations at a reduced rate. For more information about exhibits, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
