ASCO Presidential Community Town Halls

ASCO in the Community:
Listening and Learning From Our Patients

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) held a series of events in 2018 and early 2019 with local groups across the United States to hear from patients, providers, and the general public about real-world barriers to quality cancer care and talk about ways to provide the best care to every person diagnosed with cancer.

These community town halls were moderated by 2018–2019 ASCO President Monica Bertagnolli, MD, FACS, FASCO, in conjunction with local and national experts. Learn more about Dr. Bertagnolli’s focus on caring for and learning from patients, on the ASCO Connection website

Below is a collection of pictures, articles, and podcasts featuring participants from each of these events. In addition, we welcome comments from patients and caregivers about your experiences with cancer.
