The 2021 ASCO Annual Meeting will be an online only experience, June 4-8, 2021. While it will not be possible to return to an in-person meeting due to continuing COVID-19 concerns, we remain committed to delivering the latest groundbreaking science in oncology and timely information on clinical application and treatment. Please view our full statement here. Our online meeting platform will provide attendees with live and on-demand access to top caliber scientific research presentations and slides. The online meeting experience will also offer opportunities to engage with and learn from oncology thought leaders from around the world, including interactivity and live question and answer in key sessions.

Lori J. Pierce, MD, FASTRO, FASCO, has selected “Equity: Every Patient. Every Day. Everywhere.” as the theme for her 2020-2021 ASCO Presidential year. Under Dr. Pierce’s leadership, ASCO is putting a sharp focus on the need for the oncology community to confront and address complex forces and systems that have created disparities in cancer care, treatment, and research. Though selected before the recent widespread movements to address systemic injustices amid the current coronavirus pandemic, which is affecting communities of color disproportionately, her theme choice has proven prescient. She has included among the many goals for her presidential term that equity be fully embedded into the educational program for the 2021 ASCO Annual Meeting. The meeting is designed to advance the education of physicians and other professionals involved in multidisciplinary clinical cancer care, to support the development of clinical cancer researchers and to facilitate the delivery of high-quality health care to patients with cancer.
