Research involving more advanced diagnostic procedures and treatment for all kinds of amyloidosis is ongoing. The following advancements may still be under investigation in clinical trials and may not be approved or available at this current time. Always discuss all diagnostic and treatment options with your doctor.

Combination chemotherapy/other medication. New combinations of steroids and chemotherapy drugs are being explored.

Expanded use of stem cell transplantation. Stem cell transplantation, which are being studied in clinical trials in some medical centers, may soon be offered with greater availability for amyloidosis.
