Dr. Timothy Gilligan is a Medical Oncologist at Cleveland Clinic's main campus in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in medical oncology and specializes in cancers of the testicles, bladder, prostate and kidneys as well as in problems related to cancer survivorship.
At the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Gilligan serves as medical director of the inpatient solid tumor oncology services, chair of the Education Committee, and Program Director of the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship. He is also the Deputy Editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and a member of the Cleveland Clinic's Ethics Committee and Graduate Medical Education Committee.
Dr. Gilligan has published over a dozen original scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, has written dozens of review articles and book chapters and has given dozens of lectures on genitourinary cancers and biomedical ethics. He has worked on national and international guideline panels on testis cancer, and he currently writes and edits treatment guidelines and cancer-information summaries for the National Cancer Institute, and UpToDate.
